VILT Confined Space Entrant Awareness

This course has been cancelled

This 1-day Confined Space Entrant, and Stand-by Person Awareness course reviews your knowledge on Yukon Legislation, terms, and their definitions, as well as roles and responsibilities. Through online exercises, you will demonstrate how to create a confined space entry plan, discuss equipment use, MSA gas detector simulation, hazard management plan (HMP), and non-entry rescues.

When possible NSNY will offer the second day of training to cover the practical portion of CSE. Dependent on time lapsed, a theory refresher component may be included. Part A (theory) and Part B (practical) of CSE are treated as two courses, having a separate tuition fee and independent certifications.

  1. Part A: Day one theory training receives a 3-year Confined Space Entrant and Standby Person “Awareness” Certification

  2. Part B: Day two (needs day one pre-req-3 to 8 mo.) receives a 3-year Confined Space Entrant and Standby Person Full Certification
