Industrial Snowmobile Operator
The snowmobile operator's certificate is a one-day course that provides hands-on training on the safe operation, handling, and inspection of snowmobiles. The course uses a combination of field and classroom activities to help the rider develop safe and effective snowmobile operation habits. This course is intended for snowmobile use in the workplace, or for personal use. Activities included in the course curriculum include: - Understanding risks associated with snowmobile operation. - Risk management techniques. - Pre-ride inspections, field troubleshooting, and review of controls. - Planning for snowmobile outings, including survival considerations and field maintenance. - Exercises in basic riding skills, including riding positions, cornering, traversing hills, trail riding, and handling obstacles. - Transporting and loading/unloading of snowmobiles.
