As of December 31, 2008, a regulation requiring crane operators to meet specific training requirements and demonstrate competency in the operation of mobile and articulating boom cranes comes into effect in the Yukon.

Introducing Small Employer Certificate of Recognition
The Northern Safety Network Yukon is proud to announce the launch of the
Small Employer Certificate of Recognition. The SECOR is designed
to better support small employers (less than 10 employees) in the developement
and implementation of an effective health and safety management system.
Most employers in Yukon qualify as small employers.
WHY COR?
COR is a recognition program, an external confirmation that an employer is actively engaged in effective health and safety management. It shows an employer cares. It also means employee's rights and responsibilities are known and respected.
Why is it such a big deal? When employers are committed to safe
and healthy workplaces - they save lives, prevent suffering and build
a strong economy.
COR companies are leaders and examples to industry in showing safety and success must go hand in hand.

- Principles of Health & Safety Management (PHSM)*

- WHMIS Train-the-Trainer
- Auditor Training Program (ATP)*
*Note the PHSM course is a pre-requisite for the ATP)
Basics of FALL PROTECTION
- Full day course designed to introduce workers and supervisors to the
basics of fall prevention and fall arrest. Training also provided
in suspension self-rescue. This course is offered on demand at
